1.3 What you need to enroll for the Apple Developer Program

If your event qualifies for a dedicated EventApp, you require an Apple Developer Account.

1) I do not have an Apple Developer Account

2) I already have an Apple Developer Account

3) Two-factor authentication

1. I do not have an Apple Developer Account yet

  • Costs for the Apple Developer Account subscription are $99,- per year.
  • Processing time is 2-4 weeks. 

If you’re enrolling your organization, you’ll need an Apple ID with two-factor authentication turned on, as well as the following to get started:

 

1.1. A D-U-N-S® Number

Your organization must have a D-U-N-S Number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. You can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions. Learn more

1.2. Legal Entity Status

Your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into contracts with Apple. We do not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches.

1.3. Legal Binding Authority

As the person enrolling your organization in the Apple Developer Program, you must have the legal authority to bind your organization to legal agreements. You must be the organization’s owner/founder, executive team member, senior project lead, or have legal authority granted to you by a senior employee.

1.4. A Website

Your organization’s website must be publicly available and the domain name must be associated with your organization.

 

2. I already have an Apple Developer Account

If you already have an Apple Developer Account, skip step 1 of the Manual and go directly to step 2 & 3. Invite appmanager@mylaps.com to grant our app moderator access. We will transfer your app to your own account. 

Accept the transfer and DONE!

 

3. Two-factor authentication

3.1. Problems with two-factor authentication

It might be that your Apple ID is currently set up with two-step verification and not two-factor authentication.

Two-step verification is an older security method that is available to users who don’t have Apple devices, can’t update their devices, or are otherwise ineligible for two-factor authentication; it is a security feature for Apple ID that’s designed to prevent anyone else from accessing or using your account, even if they know your password.

Two-factor authentication is a newer security method that's built directly into iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and Apple’s websites. It offers a more streamlined user experience and is required to use certain features that call for enhanced security. Two-factor authentication is available to iCloud users with at least one device using iOS 9 or OS X El Capitan or later.

To enable two-factor authentication, make sure that you’re using an Apple device with iOS 9 or later or OS X El Capitan or later and follow the steps at the link below.
