Live Tracking in action
Live Tracking is done based on the timing mats near-time information. This means it works for all participants, which is why they don’t need to carry their phone with them. However if a participant follows himself on the app and carries his phone with them, then he/she can make use of the additional GPS tracking feature. This means that the Live Tracking between the mats is even more precise as well as spectators being able to keep track on multiple Participants; as well as being able to get a predicted finishing time.
Live Tracking setup
Live Tracking is done based on the timing mats, this means that the more mats you use, the more accurate the Live Tracking will be.
For a 5K race, you need at least: start, intermediate (±2K) and finish mats.
For a 10K race you need at least: start, intermediate (±3K), recommended intermediate (±6K) and finish mats.
For other distances, we recommend having a mat at every few kilometers, as well as needing a starting and finishing mat.
For a Triathlon race, you need a timeline before and after each transition area.
For a Relay race, you need a timeline before and after each transition area, if runners don't exchange chips.
