4.5 Create Points of Interest and Guided Tours

Get the most out of your course map and create: points of interest and guided tours to inform and activate the fans and athletes.

There is a cashing time of around one hour before your changes will be visible in the EventApp. The cashing time is needed to improve the performance of the Live tracking functionality during your race. However all the markers will load very quickly on your public event webpage. You can open this page from your event CMS dashboard by clicking public site in the upper right corner of the CMS page. 

1) Create Points of Interest

2) Create a guided course tour

3) Create Routes

 

1) Create Points of Interest

1. Click View Course in the Races overview

2. Click Add Marker

3. Enter Marker Details

  • Name - name of marker.
  • Type - icon of marker.
  • Importance - size of marker.
  • Applicable for course - course on which marker should appear.
  • Include in Course Tour - show in Guided Tour (creates image on bottom of course map).
  • Distance from start - location on course map.
  • Description - extra information.
  • Picture - will appear on course tour markers.
  • Snap to course (Upper right corner of the map) - drag marker away from course.

4. Save marker and reopen marker to be able to upload an image.

2) Create a Guided Course tour

  1. Click View Course in the Races overview.
  2. Click Add Marker.
  3. Enter Marker Details.
  4. Enable Include in Course Tour.
  5. Add description (optionally).
  6. Save marker and reopen marker to be able to upload an image.

 

3) Create routes

  1. Click View Course in the Races overview.
  2. Click Add Line.
  3. Enter Line Details.
