URL with file and extension

there should be a file name and extension http://someurl/Race1.xlsx

 

2. Configure Live Finish Line Results

Go to http://eventcms.sporthive.com

Click Start

Log in to your existing organization account or create a new organization account

Click Create an event or Open an existing event

Click Races Results

Click Prepare results page

Click Config under Live Results

  • Enable YES
  • URL field - add URL where to pull data from
  • Interval - how long it should take to check if there is new data
  • Poll From/To - date range till when, till when this is available

 

3. Set up Dropbox

  1. Save the file to your local Dropbox folder
  2. Select the file in Windows Explorer and choose Create Link
  3. Wait a couple of seconds until a popup indicates the link is ready
  4. Paste the url from your clipboard into the Config url field
  5. This link will look like: “https://www.dropbox.com/s/somerandomcode/filename.csv?dl=0

 

4. Set up Google Drive

  1. Save the file to your local Google Drive folder
  2. Select the file in Windows Explorer and choose Google Drive menu followed by Share…
  3. Click the Get shareable link option in the top right of the dialog
  4. Select the dropdown option where you can select who can access the link and make sure you select
    On – everyone with this link can access this file. If it doesn’t show directly click More first. Click Save
  5. Copy the url to the clipboard and paste the url from your clipboard into the Config url field
  6. This link will look like: “https://drive.google.com/file/d/some_random_code/view?usp=sharing
