Best practices and common pitfalls on camera positioning

Best practices

Good position (low to the ground / eye level) and nice view of the road. Located in the outer corner so it’s close to the riders.

Good frame and zoom. Clear view of the road and runners.

Good zoom and view of the obstacle.

Nice zoom and perfect view of the finishers.

Common pitfalls

Would be better to remove the decoder out of the frame.

Ensure crowd cannot move in front of line of sight of the camera.

Camera not zoomed enough. Too many people in the frame.

A little more panning to the right would be better to hide the decoder and see the runners earlier.
